10,845 EVs worth Rs 25.55bn imported in 11 months: Department of Customs
KATHMANDU: The Department of Customs said a total of 10,845 electric vehicles (EVs) valued at Rs 25.55 billion were imported during the first 11 months of current fiscal year 2025/26.
The department said the imports included various types of EVs with power capacities ranging from 50 kW to 201 kW.
Of the total, 3,680 EVs with a capacity of 50 kW, worth Rs 5.65 billion, were imported during the period.
A further 6,357 EVs with capacities between 51 kW and 100 kW, worth Rs 16,497,946,000, were imported in the same time frame, the department added.
