Nepal Collects Rs 1.11 Trillion in Revenue, Achieving 75% of Annual Target with 18 Days Remaining in Fiscal Year

Kathmandu: The government has collected Rs 1.112 trillion in revenue, achieving 75.17 percent of its annual target with 18 days remaining in the current fiscal year, according to the Office of the Comptroller General.

The government had set a revenue target of Rs 1.48 trillion and now needs to collect another Rs 367.5 billion to meet the goal before the fiscal year ends.

Tax revenue has reached Rs 1.01 trillion, or 76.20 percent of the annual target. Non-tax revenue stands at Rs 102 billion, while grants have reached only Rs 24 billion, or 45.11 percent of the target.

Meanwhile, total government expenditure has reached Rs 1.44 trillion, equal to 71.53 percent of the annual budget. Current expenditure accounts for Rs 949 billion, while capital expenditure has reached Rs 142 billion, or 34.87 percent of the target for development and construction projects.
