KATHMANDU: Facial House opened its 12th branch at Anupam Mall in Sitapaila, Kathmandu, on Saturday, expanding local access to beauty and skincare services.

The opening ceremony was attended by former Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) President Rajesh Kazi Shrestha, NCC Vice President Urmila Shrestha, media entrepreneur Shova Gyawali and other guests.

At the event, Facial House founder Sushma Mahara said the new branch will reduce travel needs for local customers. “The need to go to different places in Kathmandu to get services has now ended to a large extent. We have brought this branch into operation with the objective of providing quality beauty and skincare services easily to the customers of Sitapaila and its surrounding areas. We will continue the service expansion in the coming days as well,” she said.

Speaking at the programme, Rajesh Kazi Shrestha highlighted the private sector’s role in job creation and economic growth, noting Facial House has employed more than 200 people. “Creating employment is the greatest social contribution. Facial House has given employment to hundreds of youths, and this has also supported the country's economy. I wish them success in further expanding their branches in the coming days,” he said.

Also speaking, Shova Gyawali praised the company’s long-term commitment to the same field. “Building a successful organisation by working continuously in the same field for about 28 years is a great achievement in itself. Facial House has presented an example that women can also make a significant contribution to business, employment creation, and the country's economy,” she said.

Furthermore, NCC Vice President Urmila Shrestha emphasised the wider impact of the enterprise beyond beauty services. “This is not just a business related to beauty; it is a sector also connected with skin treatment, skill development, employment creation, and women's economic empowerment. The expansion of such organisations makes a positive contribution to the overall economy,” she said.

Founded about 18 years ago at Kathmandu Mall, Sundhara, Facial House has expanded its network across the country. The company now operates outlets in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Surkhet, Nepalgunj, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Dhangadhi and Itahari, and runs facial academies in Kathmandu and Chitwan to train skilled workers in the beauty and skincare sector.

The event drew representatives from the beauty, business and social sectors. Facial House said the Sitapaila branch will offer modern beauty and skincare services locally, making such services more accessible to residents of Sitapaila and nearby areas.
