ZTE launches nubia Neo 5 GT 5G in Nepal

KATHMANDU: ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, has launched the nubia Neo 5 GT 5G in Nepal, targeting mobile gamers.

The device features a 1.5K 144Hz gaming display and 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0 for enhanced control. ZTE highlighted an industry-first built-in cooling fan and a 6,210mAh dual-cell battery supported by 80W fast charging as key elements intended to sustain long gaming sessions and manage device temperature during intensive use.

Speaking on the launch, Sabin Shrestha, CEO of ZTE Nepal, said, "The nubia Neo 5 GT 5G is designed to deliver premium gaming performance for Nepal's growing community of mobile gamers. With advanced cooling, ultra-responsive controls, and powerful battery performance, it offers an outstanding gaming experience at an accessible price."

Likewise, Saksham Jatia, Executive Director of Shanker Group and Jagadamba Mobiles, added, "We are excited to bring the nubia Neo 5 GT 5G to Nepal. As demand for gaming smartphones continues to grow, this smartphone offers the perfect combination of innovation, performance, and value for Nepali consumers."

The 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 77,999 and is being sold nationwide through Jagadamba Mobiles. Customers can opt for 0% interest EMI plans to spread payments.

ZTE has recently expanded its gaming-focused line-up in Nepal. Earlier this month, the company introduced the nubia Neo 5 5G, priced at Rs 55,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, which runs on the Unisoc T9300 ultimate 6nm chipset and features a 6.8-inch 120Hz IPS LCD display with Magic Touch 3.0. That model also offers 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0, mecha-inspired RGB lighting, a 20,000mm² multi-layer cooling system, a 50MP AI dual rear camera, a 16MP front camera, and a 6,050mAh battery with 45W bypass charging.

The company previously launched the RedMagic 11 Pro in Nepal, a high-performance gaming phone that has gained traction among local gamers and everyday users. With the new Neo 5 GT 5G and the existing Neo 5 5G and RedMagic 11 Pro, ZTE said it aims to broaden access to high-performance gaming smartphones in the Nepali market.
