LG launches 'Essential Series' for Nepali households in Chitwan

BHARATPUR: LG Electronics Singapore and its official distributor, CG Electronics, on Wednesday unveiled the 'Essential Series' of home appliances for Nepali households. The launch took place in Bharatpur, Chitwan, under the campaign 'Happiness of Every Home, LG in Every Home'.

The range includes double-door refrigerators, fully automatic top-load washing machines and room air conditioners developed with local conditions and daily needs in mind. LG said the series combines modern technology, performance, durability and affordable pricing to simplify everyday life for Nepali families.

The 'Essential Series' double-door refrigerator features Frost-Free Technology to remove the need for manual defrosting, a Smart Mode that automatically adjusts cooling to weather conditions, and a vegetable storage compartment that is 20% larger than previous models.

The top-load washing machine includes a ProShield Motor, BMC Cover, an IPX4 water-resistant control panel and Low-Pressure Fill Technology to ensure effective washing under low water pressure.

The room air conditioner offers energy-efficient cooling and heating, uses the eco-friendly R32 refrigerant and operates with reduced noise while consuming less electricity than traditional non-inverter units.

LG said sales and distribution across Nepal began in June 2026, with initial model prices starting at approximately Rs 49,690. The products will be available nationwide through official LG Brand Shops, multi-brand retail outlets and major e-commerce platforms.

CG Electronics, part of CG Corp Global, is the sole official distributor of LG products in Nepal and has worked with LG Electronics Singapore for more than four decades, the companies said. LG Electronics was noted in the release as a global company in home appliances, consumer electronics and air solutions known for energy-efficient products and customer-focused design.
