LG, CG Electronics launch 'Essential Series' home appliances in Pokhara

POKHARA: LG Electronics Singapore and its official distributor CG Electronics unveiled the ‘Essential Series’ of home appliances at an event in Pokhara on Friday under the campaign ‘Harek Gharko Khusi, Ghar-gharma LG’ (Happiness of Every Home, LG in Every Home).

The new line targets Nepali consumers with models tailored to local needs and living conditions. The range comprises double-door refrigerators, fully automatic top-load washing machines and room air conditioners.

LG highlighted key features of the models. The ‘Essential Series’ double-door refrigerator uses Frost-Free Technology to remove the need for manual defrosting, a Smart Mode that adjusts cooling to weather conditions, and a vegetable compartment that is 20% larger than previous models.

The top-load washing machine includes a ProShield Motor, BMC Cover, an IPX4 water-resistant control panel and Low-Pressure Fill Technology to support effective washing at low water pressure. The room air conditioner offers inverter-based energy efficiency with heating and cooling functions, lower electricity consumption compared with traditional non-inverter units, uses the R32 refrigerant and operates with reduced noise.

Sales and distribution of the ‘Essential Series’ began across Nepal in June 2026, the CG Electronics said. Initial models will start at approximately Rs 49,690 and will be available through official LG brand shops, multi-brand retailers and major e-commerce platforms nationwide.
