LG Electronics, CG Electronics unveil 'Essential Series' for Nepali households in Butwal

BUTWAL: LG Electronics Singapore, with its authorised distributor CG Electronics, unveiled the 'LG Essential Series' on Sunday in Butwal, a new line of home appliances aimed at Nepali households.

The range was launched at Siddhartha Cottage under the campaign “Harek Gharko Khusi, Ghar-gharma LG” (Happiness in every home, LG in every home). LG said the series combines modern technology, durability and affordable pricing to meet the daily needs and local conditions of Nepali families.

The Essential Series comprises double-door refrigerators, fully automatic top-load washing machines and room air conditioners developed specifically for the Nepali market. The double-door refrigerator features Frost-Free Technology to remove the need for manual defrosting, a Smart Mode that adjusts cooling according to the weather, and a vegetable storage compartment that is 20% larger than previous models.

The top-load washing machine includes a ProShield Motor, BMC cover, an IPX4 water-resistant control panel and Low-Pressure Fill Technology to ensure effective washing even at low water pressure. The room air conditioner offers energy-efficient cooling and heating, uses the eco-friendly R32 refrigerant and operates with reduced noise while consuming less electricity than traditional non-inverter models.

LG and CG Electronics said sales and distribution of the Essential Series across Nepal will begin in June 2026, with initial models priced from about Rs 49,690. Products will be available through official LG Brand Shops, multi-brand retail outlets and major e-commerce platforms nationwide.

CG Electronics, part of CG Corp Global, is the sole authorised distributor of LG products in Nepal and has worked with LG Electronics Singapore for more than four decades, the release noted. The release said LG Electronics is a global leader in home appliances, consumer electronics and air solutions, known for energy-efficient products and customer-focused design.
