KATHMANDU: FOTON has opened five new authorised Total Care Shield service points in Bhaluwang, Baglung, Lalbandi, Chapur and Lahan, the company announced on Monday.

The additions increase FOTON’s nationwide after-sales network to more than 21 locations, extending maintenance and support for electric commercial vehicles beyond major urban centres and into regional markets.

Each Shield service point will provide routine maintenance, vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and warranty support in accordance with manufacturer-approved standards. The facilities are equipped with specialised diagnostic tools for FOTON electric vehicles and staffed by trained electric-vehicle technicians who use genuine FOTON parts.

The expansion targets educational institutions, logistics operators and commercial fleet owners that rely on dependable vehicles and timely service to maintain daily operations. FOTON said the move seeks to improve vehicle safety and reliability, extend vehicle life and reduce the distance customers must travel for after-sales care.

Reducing vehicle downtime and operating costs is central to the FOTON Total Care programme. The company highlighted preventive maintenance, faster service turnaround and transparent processes adapted to Nepal’s terrain and operating conditions as key elements designed to keep commercial vehicles on the road.

MAW Vriddhi Commercial Vehicles, the authorised distributor of FOTON vehicles in Nepal, manages the Total Care network. The distributor said it remains committed to supporting customers with reliable vehicles, accessible after-sales service and genuine parts as electric commercial mobility grows in the country.
