ITAHARI: Ramada by Wyndham Itahari has launched special accommodation packages and support for devotees taking part in the annual Bol Bam Yatra this Shrawan.
The hotel’s package includes a one-night stay in a deluxe room, a buffet breakfast, 15% discount on additional dining and access to the swimming pool and fitness centre. The single occupancy rate is Rs 6,500, and the double occupancy rate is Rs 7,500, with both rates exclusive of applicable taxes. The hotel said it hopes the offer will assist pilgrims along their route while honouring devotion behind the pilgrimage.
General Manager Abhimanyu Kayastha said, "The Bol Bam Yatra holds deep spiritual significance for the region, and Ramada by Wyndham Itahari felt it was important to stand alongside the pilgrims who undertake this journey of faith each year."
The pilgrimage draws thousands of devotees to eastern Nepal every year. The journey commences at Barahakshetra in Chatara, where pilgrims collect holy water from Saptakoshi River before travelling on foot to the Pindeshwor Mahadev Temple in Dharan to offer the water to Lord Shiva as Jalabhishek. According to belief, the Shivalinga at Pindeshwor manifested from the divine essence of Amrit following the celestial battle between the Devas and Asuras, making the site one of eastern Nepal’s most revered Shiva shrines.
Situated in eastern Nepal’s commercial gateway, Ramada by Wyndham Itahari features 81 rooms and suites. The property offers four culinary venues — NUA, Sutra Lounge, Aria and Sukra Bar — as well as banquet halls, an open-air lawn, a swimming pool and a fitness centre. The hotel serves as a base for visitors exploring cultural and sacred sites across the region, including Pindeshwor Mahadev Temple, Barahakshetra Dham and Koshi Tappu wetlands.
