KATHMANDU: David Beckham pocketed an estimated £19 million ($25 million) in endorsement deals during the FIFA World Cup 2026 tournament cycle, according to sports research consultancy 'Marketing Made Clear', a figure reported by Goal.com and the Lao Dong International Football Report.

The 51-year-old former England captain and Inter Miami co-owner, who retired from professional football in 2013, dominated broadcast advertising slots across the host nations — the United States, Canada and Mexico — throughout the four-week tournament.

Market data from Marketing Made Clear, shared with Goal.com, showed Beckham featured in high‑profile campaigns for 11 major global brands. His endorsement portfolio included Lay’s, Pepsi, McDonald’s, Ninja Kitchen and Stella Artois, alongside Bank of America, Home Depot, Verizon, Lenovo, EA Sports and Adidas.

The £19 million valuation exceeded the individual prize money received by the vast majority of active players competing on the pitch in North America.

The Lao Dong International Football Report said Beckham’s market saturation highlights how retired sporting icons continue to command top‑tier commercial value during major global events.

“Brands partner with Beckham because he is dependable and instantly recognisable,” Marketing Made Clear told Goal.com, adding that his personal brand generated an eight‑figure commercial return more than a decade after he hung up his boots.
