BAGMATI: Bagmati Province government has made necessary preparations to operate industrial administration services digitally in all 13 districts of the province.
The Office of Industry and Commerce in Makawanpur has begun providing online services for industrial administration, including industry registration, renewal, name transfer and other services, and is preparing to roll out online industry administration across all 13 districts in current fiscal year 2026/27, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Labour and Transport of Bagmati Province, Kumar Tamang said.
The ministry has already designated the offices of Industry and Commerce in Chitwan, Kavrepalanchok, Ramechhap and Sindhuli as model offices and has allocated a budget to upgrade all 13 offices to model status in the current fiscal year.
Standards for managing the model offices have been prepared by the Ministry.
By the end of last fiscal year, 4,956 industries and 2,550 commercial firms had been registered under the provincial ministry.
The Ministry also said that regular and emergency market monitoring is being carried out continuously to curb black marketing and artificial shortages in the market.
