KATHMANDU: Tranquility Spa has become Nepal’s first and only spa and wellness brand to receive ISO 9001:2015 certification from United Registrar of Systems (URS), a certification body accredited by UKAS and the IAF.
The certification covers the company’s Quality Management System across its full range of wellness and beauty services, including therapeutic massage, all forms of beauty therapy, steam, sauna, jacuzzi facilities, gym, swimming pool and tennis facilities. URS’s approval confirms that Tranquility Spa’s operations, hygiene standards and customer service protocols meet internationally benchmarked quality standards.
Chief Executive Officer Bhuwan Phaiju said, “This ISO 9001:2015 certification is a milestone for Tranquility Spa, but more importantly, it's a promise to every guest who walks through our doors — that they'll receive the same high standard of care, hygiene, and service at every location. As we continue to grow across Nepal and beyond, this is the foundation we intend to build on.”
Chief Operating Officer Ranil Phaiju added, “Achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification is a validation of the systems and standards we've built at Tranquility Spa over the years. It reflects our commitment to consistency, hygiene, and quality across every service we offer, and it's a benchmark we intend to keep raising.”
Founded more than 18 years ago in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, Tranquility Spa now operates in partnership with hotels in Kathmandu, Chitwan, Pokhara, Malaysia and Bhairahawa. Tranquility Spa employs over 300 professionals and, through its training arm Tranquility International Beauty and Spa Academy, has trained more than 3,500 individuals in certified wellness skills.
The company said the recognition underlines its commitment to delivering safe, consistent and high-quality wellness experiences to customers nationwide.
