CHITWAN: Two-way traffic has resumed on Narayangadh-Muglin road section after landslide debris was removed from the road.

Earlier this morning, landslides at various places had forced one-way operation. According to Arjun Ghimire, engineer at Division Road Office, Chitwan, landslides struck the route at Tuin Khola, Namsi Khola, Simaltal, Pandhra Kilo and Satra Kilo. Mud and debris from those landslides had reduced the road to alternating traffic.

Clearing teams removed the deposits, and the road reopened to normal traffic after 10:00 am.

Meanwhile, construction work is underway in Tuin Khola river area, and the contractor has taken part in clearing the landslide material along the road.

Authorities have urged passengers to travel with caution, warning that further landslides remain possible on the section.
