LG Electronics Singapore, CG Electronics unveil 2026 AI product lineup in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: LG Electronics Singapore, in partnership with CG Electronics, unveiled its 2026 product lineup at the 'Experience AI: Affectionate Intelligence' showcase on Sunday at the LG Brandshop in Minbhawan, Kathmandu.

The exhibition will run from August 20 to September 30 and present a range of AI-enabled home appliances and the ThinQ smart home platform, including televisions, audio systems, washing machines and refrigerators. The event was officially opened by Sungho Chun of LG Electronics Singapore, Bangladesh branch, and drew media, industry partners and customers.

Sungho Chun said, "At LG, we believe that technology should be effortless, personalised, and useful. Our Affectionate Intelligence concept is based on the idea of understanding people's needs and assisting them in a meaningful way. Through our AI Home Ecosystem, we are creating a connected experience that simplifies daily life, reduces household responsibilities, and helps families spend more time on what truly matters."

LG highlighted several technological advances in the 2026 lineup. The LG AI TV adapts picture and sound settings to individual viewing preferences and serves as a central hub for controlling connected devices.

The LG AI Washing Machine uses AI Direct Drive technology with deep learning and six-motion mechanics to detect fabric types and select optimal wash and dry patterns, aiming to cut water and energy use. The LG AI Refrigerator employs AI-powered inverter technology to learn household usage patterns and adjust cooling ahead of peak hours. An AI saving mode available through the LG ThinQ application lets users optimise cooling during off-peak electricity periods. The ThinQ platform integrates connected devices and learns daily preferences to streamline home management.

All products in the 2026 lineup are available for public viewing and purchase at the flagship LG Brand Store and key retail outlets across Nepal. CG Electronics, a subsidiary of CG Corp Global, is LG’s authorised national distributor in Nepal and has maintained a partnership with LG Electronics Singapore for more than four decades.
