eSewa hosts festive event in Lalitpur to mark Shrawan and Teej

KATHMANDU: Digital wallet provider eSewa organised a two-day festive event titled 'Shrawan ra Shringaar' in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, on August 8–9, 2026, to mark the festive season of Shrawan and Teej.

The event served as an in-person component of eSewa’s month-long #SheIsTheGreenFlag campaign, an initiative highlighting women who inspire confidence, encourage aspirations, and make a positive impact on those around them.

The venue featured professional mehendi sessions, an instant Polaroid photo booth, and interactive games offering prizes to participants across different age groups.

The open-to-all gathering drew eSewa users, social media followers, and Labim Mall visitors who attended alongside family and friends. Participation continued throughout the weekend as attendees joined in the cultural celebrations. Through these festive activities and community involvement, the initiative focused on celebrating cultural traditions while recognising and appreciating women.
