Indian Ambassador pays courtesy call on PM Shah

KATHMANDU: India’s Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Balendra Shah today.

The meeting at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers covered Nepal-India relations, bilateral friendship, matters of mutual interest and development partnership and cooperation, Prime Minister’s Press and Research Expert Dipa Dahal said.

Prime Minister Shah urged that the historic ties between Nepal and India be deepened and called for increased cooperation in areas of shared interest.

Ambassador Srivastava wished the prime minister a successful term and pledged to make further efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation.

China’s Ambassador to Nepal, Zhang Maoming, is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Shah later today.
