KATHMANDU: Fine gold is traded at Rs 307,900 per tola in the domestic market today, while the price of silver reached Rs 4,780 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA).
The latest rates mark an increase from recent sessions: on Monday, gold was Rs 301,000 per tola and silver Rs 4,670 per tola; on Sunday, gold stood at Rs 301,700 per tola and silver at Rs 4,645 per tola. Late last week, on Friday, gold traded at Rs 296,900 per tola and silver at Rs 4,580 per tola.
FENEGOSIDA released the figures as part of its regular market updates, noting an upward trend in domestic quotations.
Meanwhile, in international markets, gold traded between about $4,409 and $4,437.40 per ounce on August 11, while silver was quoted between roughly $66.02 and $66.54 per ounce.
