KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank has launched a special discount scheme on personal vehicle loans for the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.

Under the scheme, customers purchasing new vehicles at the expo can obtain loans by adding a minimum premium of 0.5% to the bank’s base rate. Based on the current base rate, the minimum interest rate stands at 5.25%, and the loan rate will automatically adjust as the bank’s base rate fluctuates.

The bank has also introduced a fixed interest rate of 5.99% for three years for customers buying new electric vehicles at the expo. After three years, a maximum premium of up to 2% will be added to the bank’s base rate for those loans.

Global IME Bank will facilitate loan processing from its stall at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, where customers can submit applications directly. Once customers complete the required documentation, the bank will issue an approval letter for the vehicle purchase within a maximum of three days.

The bank has received several national and international awards over the years, including Bank of the Year 2014, Best Internet Bank 2016, and Best Bank Nepal for 2024, 2025 and 2026. It has also won the Euromoney Award for Excellence in 2022, 2024 and 2025, Best Bank ESG Nepal 2024, and awards for Best Employer.

Global IME Bank is the first private‑sector commercial bank to expand its branch network across all 77 districts of Nepal. It currently serves customers through more than 1,000 service centres, including 341 branch offices, 366 ATMs, 147 branchless banking services, 69 extension and revenue collection counters, and three foreign representative offices.

The bank also brings remittances into the country through formal channels from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE and India.
