KATHMANDU: GWM Nepal, under VG Impex, the authorised importer and distributor of GWM vehicles in Nepal, drew significant attention at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. Visitors inspected interiors and exteriors of the ORA 5 and the Haval Jolion MAX EV, interacted closely with the vehicles on display and placed more than 200 bookings at the expo.

Earlier, the company launched the ORA 5 on June 22, 2026, and introduced the Haval Jolion MAX EV on the second day of the expo, on August 12, at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu; the event ran from August 11 to 16.

At the expo, the ORA 5 offered a classic electric SUV design aimed at buyers seeking a refined EV experience. The ORA 5 is available in a mid-spec variant priced at Rs 4.84 million and a high-end variant priced at Rs 5.39 million. The Haval Jolion MAX EV presented a muscular, full-size SUV option priced at Rs 5.99 million. Both models attracted sustained interest from visitors.

Following the event, VG Impex said public reaction at the mobility fair has been encouraging, with many prospective customers expressing interest after experiencing the cars first-hand. The company indicated that enquiries and showroom visits have risen since the models were introduced.

VG Impex represents GWM’s Haval, Poer and Ora marques in Nepal and is expanding its EV lineup to meet growing demand for electric vehicles.
