MUSTANG: One hundred electric vehicles have been imported into Nepal via the Korala checkpoint in the first month of the current fiscal year, the Mustang Customs Office has reported.
The office said it collected revenue of Rs 290 million from the electric vehicles and other goods imported through the checkpoint during the period.
About 10 cargo containers clear customs at Korala each day, according to Office Chief Bidur Chudal.
Last fiscal year, a total of 3,000 electric vehicles entered Nepal via the same checkpoint, generating Rs 6.92 billion in revenue.
