CG Electronics showcases LG commercial washing machines at seminar in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: CG Electronics, LG's authorised partner in Nepal, hosted a seminar on Friday to showcase commercial washing machine solutions.

The event gathered professionals, entrepreneurs and representatives from the hospitality, healthcare and laundry sectors to discuss the expanding commercial laundry industry in Nepal.

The session aimed to introduce LG's commercial laundry technology and demonstrate how advanced systems can aid businesses in improving operational efficiency while creating avenues for sustainable and profitable growth. Basant Pal, business head of LG Commercial Laundry Solutions, led the proceedings, with special attendance from SC Saboo, vice president and SBUH of CG Electronics.

Attendees were introduced to commercial washing machines, including the LG Giant and the LG Titan models, which are engineered for high-demand environments such as laundromats, apartments, dormitories and healthcare facilities. The presentation highlighted features such as durability, powerful washing performance and smart management capabilities designed for frequent, high-volume operations.

The machines feature a 10-degree-tilted drum to reduce water consumption while maintaining high performance. Furthermore, an advanced gyro balancing system detects tub movement and applies the appropriate washing algorithm, allowing optimised cycles to complete in as little as 36 minutes. The equipment also utilises an inverter direct-drive motor that consumes between 25.4% and 32% less energy than conventional belt-pulley motors.

A central theme of the seminar was the potential of commercial laundry as a business venture. Participants evaluated how these solutions can support both new entrepreneurs and existing businesses aiming to establish or upgrade laundry services across various sectors. Supported by LG's global expertise, the solutions provide businesses with advanced technology and expert support aimed at improving long-term growth.

The gathering concluded with an interaction session. Participants from diverse backgrounds discussed their specific requirements with the LG team. The event served as a platform for knowledge sharing and business networking, giving participants insights into building and expanding a commercial laundry enterprise in Nepal.
