Oil factory comes into operation in Kapilvastu with Rs 120m investment

KAPILVASTU: Bhardvaj Oil Udyog has come into operation at a cost of around Rs 120 million at Sihorahawa in Mayadevi Rural Municipality-5 of Kapilvastu district. 

The factory has started production of a cooking oil named 'Bhardvaj Health Rice Bran Oil' and aims to produce 4,500 metric tonnes of oil annually, company manager Omshankar Upadhyay said. He added that rice bran oil is one of the most beneficial cooking oils for human health.

The oil factory has provided employment for 80 people.

Upadhyay said the oil produced by the factory is fortified with vitamins A and D and that the company's objective is to produce high‑quality oil that is beneficial for the human body. The factory is currently selling the oil at Rs 365 per litre.

Mayadevi Rural Municipality Chairperson Waliuddin Musalman said local people have received employment opportunities with the establishment of the factory.
