KATHMANDU: Jagdamba Enterprises has handed over Rs 5.1 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to support rescue, relief and rehabilitation operations for victims of the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli floods.
Anil Kumar Rungta, director of Jagdamba Enterprises, presented a cheque for the sum to Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle on Tuesday.
The company also pledged to supply construction materials produced by its industries at discounted rates for subsequent rehabilitation and reconstruction work across flood-affected regions.
Director Rungta said he believes this support, provided under the company's corporate social responsibility in the fields of relief, rescue and humanitarian services, will serve as a healing balm for those affected by the disaster.
