KATHMANDU: Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIFRA) has joined the Nepal Bankers' Association as its first associate member, expanding the banking body's institutional network, the association said.
The collaboration will provide a stronger foundation to present policy and practical challenges collectively to relevant stakeholders. These challenges relate to infrastructure finance, long-term investment, resource mobilisation and risk management.
The partnership aims to build a common consensus within the sector and to submit policy recommendations and suggestions to policymakers and regulators.
Nepal Bankers' Association said the NIFRA's experience and expertise in infrastructure finance and investment are expected to create opportunities for shared learning, and that this expertise will feed into the association's research, analytical studies, policy dialogues and overall knowledge exchange.
