NICCI, Genese Solution hold dialogue on cybersecurity and AI

KATHMANDU: Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) and Genese Solution organised a programme in Kathmandu on cybersecurity risks and responsible artificial intelligence adoption.

Titled ‘Cybersecurity & AI: Strategy, Maturity & Emerging Security Challenges’, the event brought together business leaders, technology professionals and other stakeholders to discuss the effects of rapid AI adoption and evolving cybersecurity risks on organisations in Nepal.

The discussion highlighted the need for organisations to move beyond technology adoption by strengthening governance, cybersecurity preparedness, institutional resilience and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

Niranjan Kunwar, Chief Technology Officer at Genese Solution, delivered the keynote presentation, covering emerging cyber risks linked to AI adoption, cloud dependency, governance, data security and organisational preparedness.

A question-and-answer session followed, focusing on the practical challenges of responsible AI adoption, cybersecurity maturity, institutional readiness and human capabilities.

Bhim Dhakal, Executive Consulting Advisor at Genese Solution and adviser to NICCI’s ICT Committee, delivered the welcome remarks, while NICCI Vice President Kunal Kayal gave the opening remarks.

Sunaina Ghimire Pandey, a board member and chairperson of the ICT Development Committee at the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), and Business Head at Genese Solution, delivered the vote of thanks.

NICCI Vice President Kayal presented Chief Technology Officer Kunwar with a token of appreciation for his contribution to the programme.

NICCI reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating informed business dialogue on emerging technologies and issues affecting Nepal’s digital economy.
