NRB contributes Rs 13.9m to Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund for Rasuwa flood victims

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has deposited Rs 13,899,425 into the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to support rescue and relief efforts for people affected by the flooding of the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.

The contribution was raised from officials and employees of the central bank and transferred to the fund on Monday.

According to a press release issued by the Office of the Governor, the amount was collected through voluntary contributions from the Governor, Deputy Governor, and permanent as well as contract staff of the bank.

The funds have been provided to assist citizens affected by the flood that struck the area on August 26, the statement said.
