The Leapmotor B03X, marketed as the A10 in China, became the country’s second best-selling vehicle in August after recording sales of 30,652 units.

The model surpassed 100,000 cumulative sales on August 7, 2026, just 135 days after its market launch on March 26, 2026, making it the fastest-selling vehicle in Leapmotor’s history to reach the milestone.

Strong demand for the B03X also helped Leapmotor become the first emerging Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup to deliver more than 100,000 vehicles in a single month for two consecutive months, in July and August.

According to the company, the B03X combines advanced technology and premium features within an accessible EV segment. The vehicle is equipped with a 145kW motor and a 55kWh battery, offering a driving range of up to 505km under the CLTC standard. It also supports rapid charging from 30% to 80% in 16 minutes.

The cabin is powered by dual high-performance processors, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 cockpit chip. The vehicle offers a 510-litre boot capacity, expandable to 1,605 litres with the rear seats folded.

Leapmotor, which is backed globally by Stellantis, the automotive group behind 14 brands including Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Peugeot, is among China’s leading New Energy Vehicle (NEV) startups. The company says it has sold more than 1.7 million vehicles worldwide and operates over 2,000 sales and service outlets across more than 45 countries.
