Rajhans Automobile to launch Changan Nevo Q05 in Chitwan next week

CHITWAN: Rajhans Automobile is set to launch the Changan Nevo Q05 electric SUV in Chitwan next week, with exclusive test drives scheduled ahead of the launch.

The authorised Changan dealer under MAW Vriddhi Autocorp for the Chitwan region will conduct test drives of the Nevo Q05 at the Deepal Chitwan showroom from September 14 to 16, allowing prospective customers to experience the vehicle firsthand.

The Nevo Q05, part of Changan’s new-energy vehicle range, will be available in Nepal at a special introductory price of Rs 5.199 million for the Ultra variant.

According to the company, the electric SUV is powered by a 120-kW motor and offers a driving range of up to 462 kilometres under NEDC testing standards, with energy consumption of 12.9 kWh per 100 kilometres.

The vehicle is equipped with a 51.9-kWh CATL lithium-iron-phosphate battery integrated with Changan’s Golden Shield 2.0 battery technology. It supports 3C fast charging and can charge from 30% to 80% in 15 minutes, with peak DC charging capacity of up to 162 kW.

The Q05 features a 2,735 mm wheelbase, reclining rear seats and a 540-litre boot. The company said the features are intended to enhance passenger comfort and practicality for daily use and family travel.

Changan said the model has received a Golden A' Design Award and has been the top-selling SUV in its segment in China for the past five months. The company also stated that cumulative global sales of the Q05 had exceeded 125,000 units by the end of August 2026.

The company said the Q05 was developed through its global design network comprising 915 professionals from 31 countries and regions. The design team is led by Changan Global Design Vice-President and former Volkswagen Group design chief Klaus Zyciora.

Changan Automobile operates in more than 100 countries and is among China’s largest automotive manufacturers. In Nepal, MAW Vriddhi Autocorp represents Changan and its sub-brands Deepal, Nevo and Avatr. Rajhans Automobile, based in Bharatpur-10, Chitwan, operates an authorised showroom and service centre for the brand in the region.
