Xiaomi Nepal provides household relief sets to flood-affected families

KATHMANDU: Xiaomi Nepal has distributed 200 sets of essential household and kitchen items to families affected by recent floods and landslides as part of its 'Xiaomi For Community' initiative. The relief materials were formally handed over to Kathmandu's Chief District Officer, Eshwor Raj Poudel.

Each relief package contains necessary items for daily cooking and meals, including one pressure cooker, one frying pan, five plates, five spoons, six cups, five bowls, and one thermos flask. In total, the contribution comprises 200 pressure cookers, 200 frying pans, 1,000 plates, 1,000 spoons, 1,200 cups, 1,000 bowls, and 200 thermos flasks.

With this latest distribution, the company continues its efforts to address the immediate needs of affected communities. Previously, Xiaomi Nepal contributed Rs 2 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to assist with the relief, rescue, and rehabilitation of individuals affected by the floods and landslides caused by the Bhotekoshi River.

True to its commitment, "A Helping Hand to Rebuild Everyday Life", the company stated that this support aims to bring some relief and convenience to the affected families as they work to return to their normal routines following the natural disasters.

Expressing solidarity with the affected people during this challenging period, Xiaomi Nepal noted that it remains dedicated to assisting with ongoing rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts as a core part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
