Party Bus Nepal resumes operations in Nepal to boost domestic tourism

KATHMANDU: Party Bus Nepal has resumed operations in Nepal, offering entertainment, food, and dancing on board a touring vehicle to boost domestic tourism.

Race Nepal formally relaunched the service at a special ceremony. Samir Shrestha, chief executive officer (CEO) of Race Nepal, said the mobile entertainment concept was first introduced as part of the Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign. He said, "When the situation required us to stop the business because of the Covid19 pandemic, we did not close it down but took it to India and continued it. However, since its real identity and necessity are in Nepal itself, we have brought it back to our own home to support the domestic tourism industry."

The company has announced plans to expand services to major cities across Nepal. CEO Shrestha said caravans and camper vans will be added to the fleet in the near future.

The modern bus accommodates up to 30 passengers and features an interior designed to resemble a well-appointed lounge or club, with neon lighting, luxury sofas, a bar for refreshments and a central dance pole. The exterior is finished in a purple and black nightlife theme. At the relaunch, attendees danced inside the vehicle to music from a powerful sound system as the bus carried guests from Durbar Marg on a loop around the Ring Road.

Combining music, bar facilities and dancing on board a moving bus, the service is expected to become a new attraction for young people and tourists in Nepal’s tourism market.
