KATHMANDU: Grande Developers has unveiled plans to build affordable housing in Tokha Municipality, Kathmandu, offering homes at Rs 14 million during a property exhibition.
The scheme was announced at the 9th Nepal Land and Housing and Construction Expo 2026, which concluded on Sunday at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The developer intended to complete and market the residential properties at budget-friendly prices.
Aabhas Kunwar, Director of Grande Developers, said the company is constructing houses in Jhor, Tokha, within the Grand Colony development; each two-storey house will cover nearly 3 aana and will feature three bedrooms, two bathrooms and parking for one vehicle.
Director Kunwar said the standard selling price for the units is Rs 15 million, but buyers who book during the exhibition received a discount of Rs 1 million.
The company plans to construct 200 homes in total within Grand Colony, with an initial batch of 50 houses to be built in the first phase.
Under the promotional offer, prospective buyers can secure a booking with an initial payment of Rs 1 million, while the remaining balance can be settled gradually over two years.
Visitors gathered in large numbers at the expo to inspect the housing project.
