KATHMANDU: Maw Vriddhi Commercial Vehicles, the long-time seller of Foton commercial vehicles in Nepal, said it is building one of the country’s largest electric commercial vehicle service centres in Pepsicola, Kathmandu.
The facility is under construction and will feature modern infrastructure, advanced service equipment and expanded capacity to provide after-sales support for electric commercial vehicles. MAW Vriddhi said the centre aims to offer convenient, efficient and reliable servicing for customers.
The centre will be staffed by technicians and engineers trained by Foton International. The trained staff will carry out maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, diagnostic inspections, technical assessments and parts replacement, the company added.
Foton Motors Nepal said the new centre will concentrate on reducing service turnaround times and vehicle downtime for commercial operators. The facility will include modern diagnostic and repair systems and an organised inventory and parts management system to improve availability of Foton Genuine Spare Parts.
Dr Anil Kumar Baral, Chief Executive Officer of Foton Motors Nepal, said, “Quality after-sales service is our top priority. Our responsibility goes beyond selling vehicles. We aim to ensure that every Foton customer has easy access to quality service, genuine spare parts, and professional technical support for their vehicles.”
Foton Motors Nepal currently operates a network of 21 service centres and touchpoints across Nepal. The company plans to expand that network so that service touchpoints are no more than 100 kilometres apart along key routes from eastern to western Nepal by the end of 2026, a move it said is intended to make professional service and technical support more accessible to customers nationwide.
Once operational, the Pepsicola centre will serve the Kathmandu Valley and support Foton Motor Nepal’s wider after-sales strategy across the country.
