KATHMANDU: Elon Musk has regained his status as a trillionaire after his net worth rose by $65 billion on October 5 to $1.04 trillion, Bloomberg reported.
The increase was driven by gains in the share prices of SpaceX and Tesla. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, SpaceX shares have risen 13% since the beginning of October, while Tesla shares have gained 6.7%.
The gains in Tesla shares followed the company’s report that it delivered 486,532 vehicles in the third quarter, exceeding analysts’ expectations.
Musk first reached a net worth of $1 trillion in June 2026 after SpaceX’s initial public offering, but subsequently fell below the threshold as its shares declined.
Musk’s holdings in SpaceX and Tesla account for more than 98% of his net worth, according to Bloomberg’s wealth index.
