KATHMANDU: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) and BIC Technology (Tigg), developer of the cloud-based accounting platform Tigg, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote digital transformation and technology adoption in Nepal’s accounting profession.

Under the agreement, eligible Chartered Accountant (CA) and Registered Auditor (RA) firms that are registered with ICAN and have renewed their membership will receive complimentary lifetime access to the basic version of Tigg, subject to verification against ICAN’s official records. Eligible ICAN students will receive free access to the platform’s education version for learning and non-commercial use.

Tigg will provide onboarding assistance, training materials, product guidance and customer support to beneficiaries. ICAN will verify eligible firms and students and promote the initiative through its official communication channels.

The partnership aims to support digital capacity building, practical learning, technology adoption and innovation through joint programmes tailored for accounting professionals and students.

The collaboration reflects both organisations’ commitment to developing a digitally capable, technology-enabled and future-ready accounting profession in Nepal.
