KATHMANDU: LG has introduced a new range of water purifiers in Nepal that combine advanced filtration technology with an 8-litre 304-grade stainless-steel tank and an in-tank UV LED.

The company said the stainless-steel tank and in-tank UV LED provide a more hygienic and durable alternative to conventional plastic tanks and help to keep stored water clean. An Airtight Tank Cover and Locking System are included to help prevent dust, bacteria and other impurities from entering the tank.

LG’s Multi-Stage Purification System varies by model and can include sediment filtration, anti-scalant treatment, carbon filtration, reverse osmosis and a mineral booster or post-carbon filtration. The company said the filters have a life of up to 6,000 litres, reducing the need for frequent replacements.

The company has highlighted two models. The WW151NT includes power, tank-full, service-reminder and UV indicators; its in-tank UV LED operates for 75 minutes every six hours. The WW131NF offers power and tank-full indicators. Both models store eight litres of purified water, which can be used during power outages.

LG is also offering a first-year maintenance package called “2 Free Maintenance”. The package comprises two scheduled service visits, two contactless maintenance services including digital sterilisation care, and two outside sediment filters, the company said.

The purifiers will be sold through LG Brand Shops, CG Digital and authorised LG dealers in Nepal. Customers can access a 0% EMI instalment facility and special festive discounts, the announcement added.

CG Electronics, a division of CG Corp Global, is the authorised distributor of LG products in Nepal. LG Electronics Inc is a global technology company that makes consumer electronics, home appliances and air solutions.
