NIC ASIA Capital conducts financial literacy programme at Triveni International College in Pokhara

POKHARA: NIC ASIA Capital conducted a financial literacy and interaction programme on money and capital markets at Triveni International College in Pokhara on Friday to mark World Investor Week 2026.

Over 100 participants, including students, professors and college staff members, attended the session at Talchowk. The event was organised as part of the company's ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.

During the session, Damodar Rayamajhi, Chief Merchant Banking Officer at NIC ASIA Capital, presented information centred on the slogan 'Invest in Your Future, Protect it Today'. His presentation incorporated the primary themes of World Investor Week 2026, including 'Investor Resilience, Digital Deception and Scam Alert', along with complementary themes covering 'Basis of Investing and Young Investor & Next Generation'.

Rayamajhi provided detailed insights into methods for students to save money during their academic years and simple avenues for investing small savings. He explained the operations of primary and secondary securities markets, money market instruments, mutual funds and Systematic Investment Plans (SIP), while outlining essential considerations for making investment choices regarding listed companies in the secondary market, alongside an update on current capital market conditions.

The event concluded with an interactive discussion between the presenter, students and professors regarding money market instruments, recent financial market trends and key factors to evaluate when making investments.
