KATHMANDU: inDrive, the global mobility and delivery platform, has launched a Passenger 360 campaign in Nepal under the slogan ‘Bhadama Kura Milchha, Duwaiko Chitta Bujhchha’ (Agree on the Fare. Fair for Both).
The campaign aims to give passengers clearer choice over trip costs and quicker access to transport when needed. It rests on the principle that a journey is fair when passenger and driver agree on the price before departure.
Through the inDrive app, passengers receive a suggested fare and may propose their own amount. Nearby drivers can accept the suggested sum or submit a counter-offer. Passengers then choose a driver after checking the proposed fare, estimated time of arrival, driver rating and vehicle details. Because the fare is finalised before the trip begins, passengers know the exact cost in advance.
The initiative pairs price predictability with rapid arrival times to meet everyday travel needs. Passengers can view each driver’s estimated arrival time before confirming a ride, allowing them to select the quickest option.
The model also gives drivers control over their earnings. Drivers decide which ride requests to accept and may submit counter-offers when a suggested fare does not meet their expectations. The company said this balance underpins the campaign’s emphasis on mutual fairness.
"Passengers in Kathmandu want two things from a ride: to know what it will cost, and to get it when they need it," said Mark Tolley, APAC Regional Director at inDrive. "Fare agreement has been at the heart of inDrive from the very beginning. It gives passengers a real say in the price and gives drivers a fair say in what they earn. Passenger 360 is our commitment to keep offering reliable, value-driven rides to the people of Nepal, every day."
In support of the initiative, inDrive Brand Ambassador and actress Swastima Khadka said, "What I appreciate most about inDrive is its transparency. Both passengers and drivers agree on the fare before the journey begins, helping avoid any misunderstandings about the price at the end of the ride. In a busy city like Kathmandu, having that peace of mind makes a real difference. To me, 'Agree on the Fare. Fair for Both' reflects exactly that sense of mutual understanding, trust, and fairness that makes every journey more comfortable."
inDrive has released a promotional video featuring Swastima Khadka, set to a vibrant Nepali soundtrack tailored to local culture.
Operating in more than 1,200 cities across 47 countries, inDrive has recorded over 400 million app downloads worldwide and is ranked the second most downloaded ride-hailing app. The platform also offers intercity transport, freight delivery and financial services, and launched a New Ventures division in 2023.
The company said it remains committed to challenging market unfairness by offering balanced choices and supporting local communities through transparent pricing and dedicated impact programmes.
