KATHMANDU: Ujyalo Nepal Party has resumed a signature campaign calling for the removal of 5% value-added tax (VAT) on electricity bills.
The campaign, which began on August 17, was put on hold after severe flooding struck Rasuwa on August 26. Party Secretary Kedar Khadka said the party had decided to restart the drive following strong public participation earlier this year.
The party has urged its leaders at provincial, district, municipal and ward levels, together with activists, to relaunch the campaign immediately in their respective areas.
