TANAHUN: Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism, trading as Bandipurhill, is hosting the Bandipur Fest over the Dashain-Tihar holiday period at Dumre in Tanahun district.

The nine-day event is being held at the cable car’s lower station and is staged in two phases: the first from October 14 to 18 and the second from October 24 to 27. Entry is free to the public.

Visitors can enjoy authentic local cuisine, cultural performances, live entertainment, a dedicated children’s zone and family activities, together with a designated beer corner. Attendees also have access to regional attractions including the cable car, zip line, sky cycling and other outdoor pursuits.

Bandipurhill has teamed up with regional travel operators and selected venues along major transport routes and in hubs such as Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara to promote the festival.

Bibhu Gautam, Marketing Manager for Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism, said the company aims to establish Bandipurhill as a premium tourist destination in Nepal and that the festival offers highway travellers and families a festive detour to enjoy Bandipur’s culture, cuisine and adventure.

Event Coordinator Suraj Rai confirmed the two-stage schedule and said the organisers intend to maintain a continuous festive atmosphere for locals and visitors.

Bandipurhill operates as an integrated tourism site in Tanahun, offering mountain views, cultural programmes, dining facilities and modern leisure infrastructure for travellers and families.
