Indian electric scooter brand Zelio opens first flagship showroom in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Indian electric vehicle manufacturer Zelio began commercial operations in Nepal with the opening of its first flagship showroom in Kathmandu on Monday.

The inauguration was led by Ujyalo Nepal Party Chairman Kul Man Ghising. Go Green Business and Solution is the authorised importer and distributor for the brand in Nepal.

Zelio said it adds a new option for modern, affordable and environmentally conscious personal travel. The company has introduced several electric scooter models aimed at daily urban commuting, offering high-efficiency motors, contemporary battery technology, digital displays, comfortable seating, practical storage and integrated safety systems alongside modern styling.

The manufacturer said its scooters are intended to reduce operational costs for owners and provide a zero-emission alternative for city travel. To support buyers, Zelio and its authorised dealership network have set up customer support arrangements including tailored vehicle financing and trade-in schemes, test rides, full after-sales servicing and maintenance, spare parts supply and dedicated technical assistance.

In a press statement, a company representative said, "At a time when the use of electric mobility is increasing in Nepal, Zelio aims to provide modern and affordable electric scooters keeping customer needs, budget, and daily usage in mind. Providing reliable service and convenient financing facilities alongside quality products to customers is our priority."

The company plans to expand its commercial and technical service infrastructure across major urban centres to improve access to electric mobility nationwide.
