
KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), has increased the price of petroleum products — petrol, diesel and kerosene.
The NOC has increased the price of petrol by Rs 9 per litre and kerosene and diesel by Rs 7 per litre. The new price will come into effect from 12:00 midnight.
The state-owned trading enterprise that imports, stores and distributes petroleum products said that the price hike decision was made after India increased the price of the supply of petroleum products.
With this, petroleum price costs Rs 170 per litre in Group A, Rs 172 in Group B and Rs 173 in Group C.
Likewise, diesel and kerosene cost Rs 150 per litre in Group A, Rs 152 in Group B and Rs 153 in Group C.
The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder however has been reduced to Rs 1,660. Earlier, The price of LPG was Rs 1,790 per cylinder.
