PARSA: Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat has said the government has been carrying out activities increasing capital expenditure to make the economy further dynamic.

At a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union, Parsa, in Birgunj Metropolitan City on Friday, Minister Mahat mentioned that the economic growth rate was low due to poor capital expenditure in the past.

Stating that the problems seen in the economy are being resolved gradually, he claimed that there is an improvement in foreign exchange reserves in the recent period.

Finance Minister Mahat further said the government was effortful to resolve the problems seen in the flow of loans due to high interest rates. He said misuse, mistake, and negligence of employees of the bodies collecting revenue will not be acceptable, and added that the Ministry has already directed all to pay attention to maintaining transparency and revenue growth.

The main objective of the incumbent government is to maintain good governance, ensure effectiveness in service delivery, and accelerate development construction, stressed Minister Mahat.
