Teletalk Pvt Ltd, the authorised distributor of Gionee smartphones in Nepal has recently introduced the Gionee A1 in the market. The handset, according to the company, offers better selfies, better battery life and better overall performance. Targeted at the selfie loving younger generation, the handset is expected to win the hearts of many with its new improved features.
Design & Display
Gionee A1 is arguably the best looking phone from Gionee. The full-metal design is sleek and smooth, and feels comfortable to hold. The handset is claimed to have been made from aircraft grade metal, giving it a really premium in-hand feel. Gionee A1 comes with 5.5 inch AMOLED FHD display with 2.5D curved glass. The big screen with 401 ppi offers vibrant colours and better contrast and is enjoyable for multimedia consumption. Equipped with MaxxAudio, the device can create a theatre-like experience while watching videos.
Gionee A1 is powered by 2.0 GHzocta-core Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 processor with Mali-T860MP2 GPU. The processor is coupled with 4 GB RAM for smooth multitasking and overall performance. The phone runs on Gionee’s own Amigo 4.0 OS on top of latest Android 7.0 Nougat. The combination provides better customisation, intelligent features and better performance. The handset comes with 64 GB of internal storage that can be exPandéd to 256 GB via micro SD card.
Gionee A1 comes with a 13 MP primary camera with F 2.0 aperture and LED flash. The phone is even better for selfies as it sports a 16 MP front camera. The front camera’s F 2.0 aperture allows for better lighting and brighter and clear images. The secondary camera is also equipped with a LED flash for taking selfies at night and in low-light environment.

A large battery is one of the best features of Gionee A1. The phone comes equipped with 4,010 mAh battery which according to the company, allows for 42 hours of talk time, 6.3 hours of video playback, and 600 hours on standby. With this extra juice, users can enjoy their phone all day long without worrying about running out of battery. Besides high capacity, the battery also supports 18W Ultrafast Charge technology that can fully charge the battery within two hours. Ultrafast Charge carries more current and shifts the power management process from the phone to the adapter; hence most of the heat generated while charging never reaches the device. Moreover, for better power saving, Gionee A1 has three power saving modes to choose from.
Gionee A1 has a fingerprint sensor embedded on the home button that allows users to lock and unlock their device with fingerprint scan. According to the company, the device can be unlocked with a light touch in 0.2 seconds. The device also comes with Split Screen feature that enables users to multi-task on one screen without switching apps.The device with its IR blaster can also be used as a remote to control various home appliances like televisions and air conditioners.
