MORANG: An agreement has been signed for projects worth Rs 152.16 billion during the two-day investment summit organised by Koshi Province government. The Koshi Province Investment Summit 2025 was held on Thursday.
Memorandums of Understanding have been signed for 46 different projects, said Dr Saroj Koirala, chief executive director of the Province Investment Authority. The MoUs for investment were signed by Dr Koirala and the investors.
According to Dr Koirala, agreements have been signed for eight projects related to agriculture, three related to energy, 12 related to industry, nine related to infrastructure, two related to information technology, 10 related to tourism and two related to waste management.
He stated that among the projects for which MoUs have been signed, 19 are from the private sector, while 27 are public-private partnerships.
The provincial government had put 71 projects on display and estimated investment commitments of Rs 173.49 billion at the investment summit.
