KATHMANDU: NMB Bank successfully concluded its 12th Heritage Walk programme on Saturday, beginning from its Gathaghar branch. The walk proceeded through Shankhadhar Park, Balkumari Mandir, Pati Bihar, and Nagadesh, culminating at Mahalaxmi temple in Bode.
NMB Bank stated that the event was organised with the objective of promoting cultural heritage and enhancing literacy for the historical and social transformation of the country, while also highlighting Nepal’s immense potential for prosperity.

In collaboration with the Nepal Heritage Society, NMB Bank carried out the programme with the participation of approximately 700 individuals, including bank employees, employees of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, members of the Nepal Heritage Society, and the general public. The Mayor of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, Surendra Shrestha, attended the event as the chief guest.
During the programme, NMB Bank, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR), provided financial support of Rs 500,000 to the Nepal Heritage Society for heritage and environmental conservation and also handed over dustbins to Madhyapur Thimi Municipality.

Similar programmes have been conducted across all seven provinces. NMB Bank organised Heritage Walks in Koshi Province from East Bus Stand to Pau Pathibhara temple, Jhapa; in Madhesh Province from Birgunj branch to Shankaracharya Gate; in Chitwan from Lions Chowk to Harihar Mandir; in Gandaki Province from Lakeside branch to Ram Mandir Birauta; in Lumbini Province from Bhalwari branch to Mokshadham Sewa Ashram; in Karnali Province from Birendranagar branch to Kakrebihar Mandir; and in Sudurpashchim Province from Green Godavari Resort to Godavari Shiva Mandir.
Currently, NMB Bank provides banking services across the country through 202 branches, 186 ATMs, and nine extension counters.
