NEPSE index falls by 0.19 pc to 2,674.76 points after trading

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index decreased by 0.19%, or 5.21 points, closing at 2,674.76 points after today's trading. On Monday, a total of 17,160,625 shares from 337 companies were traded, amounting to Rs 7,585,022,590.92 through 69,650 transactions, which brought the market capitalisation to Rs 4,450,793,081,331.12.

In terms of sub‐indices performance, the Banking sub‐index increased by 0.17% and the Manufacturing and Processing index by 0.79%, while all other categories experienced declines. Specifically, the Development Bank index fell by 0.27%, the Finance index by 0.12%, the Hotels and Tourism index by 0.91%, the Hydropower index by 0.06%, the Investment index by 0.15%, the Life Insurance index by 0.20% and the Microfinance index dropped significantly by 1.50%. In addition, the Mutual Fund index fell by 0.08%, the Non‐Life Insurance index by 0.32%, the Trading index by 0.13% and other categories saw a decrease of 0.48%.

Among individual stocks, Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals (OMPL) saw the highest gain today, with its share price increasing by 9.99%, while Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (GLBSL) experienced the largest decline. Based on turnover, Radhi Bidyut Company (RADHI) had the highest trading value today, with shares worth Rs 643,150,901.20 being bought and sold. In terms of volume, Ngadi Group Power (NGPL) recorded the highest activity, with 1,489,302 units of shares traded.
