KATHMANDU: Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter and Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) are set to host the fifth edition of Nepal’s premier international travel and tourism trade show – Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM).
The event will take place in Kathmandu from June 3 to 5, 2025, in collaboration with Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and other tourism associations and partner organisations at national and international levels.
This year’s HTM coincides with the Golden Jubilee year of the PATA Nepal Chapter, marking 50 years of contributions to Nepal’s tourism development and global connectivity, according to organisers. The inauguration also honours 75th Anniversary of the first ascent of Mt Annapurna by French mountaineer Maurice Herzog, whose family is visiting Nepal to pay tribute to his legacy.
HTM, held annually in June, is Nepal’s flagship international tourism trade show that facilitates networking, business opportunities and industry insights among global tourism and hospitality organisations and professionals. The organisers expect over 700 delegates from more than 30 countries, with representation from both the public and private tourism sectors.
Under theme “Nepal: Gateway to the Himalayas”, HTM 2025 aims to establish Nepal as a year-round travel destination and create value for stakeholders through a dynamic platform for promotion, dialogue and partnership. This year’s focus includes enhanced conference sessions, destination marketing and mutually rewarding B2B opportunities between registered sellers and hosted buyers.
Programme highlights include Pre-Mart Familiarisation Tours from May 29 to June 2. During these tours, international buyers, bloggers, influencers and media delegates will join curated itineraries – Nepal’s Golden Triangle (Kathmandu, Chitwan, Pokhara) and Kathmandu Valley and Surroundings, featuring Panauti, Dhulikhel, Nagarkot and Kathmandu’s cultural sites – to gain first-hand exposure to Nepal’s tourism offerings.

The HTM 2025 Conference, scheduled for June 3, will be held under the theme “Mountains, Milestones, and Momentum” and feature over 20 speakers from national and international circles. They will discuss topics including spiritual, adventure and luxury tourism, cultural intelligence, responsible and sustainable tourism, and emerging market trends.
B2B Buyers & Sellers Meet, scheduled for June 4–5, 2025, will host over 60 buyer organisations from more than 21 countries and over 65 seller organisations from six countries. The sessions are designed to facilitate business exchanges and support the development of new partnerships.
