KATHMANDU: inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, has launched the 'Ride to Support' campaign in Nepal, a community-driven initiative aimed at supporting the development of sports facilities in local primary schools. Running throughout the month of May, the campaign will contribute 10% of every third ride's fare towards renovating playgrounds in primary schools and providing kits for basketball, badminton and futsal.
The campaign is a testament to inDrive's commitment to challenging injustice and creating positive change for communities. With every third ride, users are not just reaching their destinations – they are taking a step towards transforming local school playgrounds and empowering children through sports.
Pavit Nanda Anand, APAC Communication Lead at inDrive, said, "We believe that by mobilising our community through purpose-driven initiatives like 'Ride to Donate', we can amplify our impact and inspire others to join us in building a more equitable society. As every ride is not just a trip, it's a step towards change. Every ride taken during the month of May contributes towards making a difference in the lives of young students, providing them with safe and well-equipped spaces to play and grow."
Funds raised during the campaign will be directed towards renovating playgrounds and supplying sports kits, ensuring that children in primary schools have access to quality sports facilities. The initiative aligns with inDrive's mission to challenge social injustice and promote equal opportunities for underserved communities.
inDrive invites all its users to be a part of the 'Ride to Support' movement, stating that together, one ride at a time, the community can help pave the way for a brighter and fairer future for Nepal’s children.
