Council of ministers to approve budget for FY 2025/26
KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Council of Ministers is scheduled for this afternoon to approve the projected revenue and expenditure (budget) for the fiscal year 2025/26.
The executive budget proposal will be presented at a joint sitting of both Houses of the Federal Parliament later today.
The meeting is to be held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
According to the Prime Minister’s private secretariat, a meeting of the National Planning Commission (NPC) is also scheduled for this afternoon and will be chaired by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is due to present the budget in the Federal Parliament at 3:00 pm today.
