Govt projects 6 pc economic growth, inflation to be maintained at 5.5 pc

KATHMANDU: The government has projected an economic growth rate of 6% for the upcoming fiscal year 2025/26.

At a joint session of the Federal Parliament today, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel unveiled the annual budget and said that the government's annual policy, programmes and the budget for the upcoming fiscal year would contribute to achieving the target of a 6% economic growth rate.

Likewise, the Finance Minister announced that inflation will be maintained at 5.5% in the upcoming fiscal year.
